Thelma Ball


Thelma Artis Ball, 75, of Williamsburg, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013, at the Williamsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center in Williamsburg. She was born June 1, 1937, in Whitley County to the late Fred B. Barker and the late Stella Beatrice Rains Barker. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Wolford Ball.

She is survived by three sisters; Faye Douglas, of Williamsburg, Alene Heatwole of Williamsburg, and Lena Taylor and husband Charles, of Miamisburg, Ohio, one brother, George Barker of Williamsburg, nephew, Harold Lynn Douglas and wife Debbie, niece Denise Wilmore and husband Glen, one great-niece, Donna Douglas, four great-nephews, Joshua Douglas, John Wesley Madon, Austin Wilmore, Gavin Douglas, all of Williamsburg, uncle and aunt Marion Rains and Grace Rains of Carlisle, Ohio, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.  

The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel in Williamsburg with Bro. Bill Mitchell officiating.  

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday April 3, 2013, at the Davis Addition of the Highland Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Harold Lynn Douglas, Eddie Joe Freeman, Joshua Douglas, John Wesley Madon, Sam Lawson and Cody Cooper.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday at the funeral home.
