Mabel Manus


Mabel Manus, 76, of Whetstone Road, Rockholds, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.

She was a member of Whetstone Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Regina Mae Manus; parents, William and Lola Chandler; three brothers, Robert Chandler, Albert Chandler and Raymond Chandler; and three sisters, Mae Pauline Chandler, Jane Mounce and Ethel Pennington.

She is survived by her husband, George Manus, of Rockholds; three sons, Rick Manus (Shannon), of Corbin, Chris Manus (Tanja), of Lebanon, Tenn., and Jeff Manus (Bill), of Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter, Pauline Miller (Marvin), of New Carlisle, Ohio; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Lee Walden (Doug), of Evendale, Ohio, and Lena Hill (John), of Rockholds; two brothers, Lloyd Chandler (Judy), of Rockholds, and David Chandler (Frances), of Rockholds; two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Chandler, of Sharonville, Ohio, and Vel Fox, of Rockholds; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct 13, 2012, at Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Sester officiating. Burial will follow at Marlow Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2012.

Ellison Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
