Devon Baxter

Devon Timothy Baxter, 9, of Corbin, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006.

He was the son of Erica Lisa Kelley Goodin and Joseph Timothy Baxter.

The funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today (Saturday) at the funeral home chapel with burial in Taylor Cemetery.

House-Rawlings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mike Finley

Mike Finley, 52, of London, passed away Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006 in Lexington.

Born April 5, 1954, he was the owner of Finley's Fun Center in London, Somerset and Danville. He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Finley.

He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Kidd Finley of London; wife, Christina Smith Finley of London; children, David Taylor and wife Erica Nicole of of London, Ryan Finley of London and Amanda Finley of London; a sister, Renee Finley Tankersley of London; aunts, Irene Wood and Lida Keith of London.

The funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept 4, 2006 at First Baptist Church in London. He will lie in state from noon until 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in A.R. Dyche Memorial Park in London.

The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. Sunday at House-Rawlings Funeral Home in London.

Ruth Gray

Ruth Ernestine Gray, 80, of London, passed away Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006 at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.

She was the wife of the late Robert "Bob" D. Gray.

The funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the A.R. Dyce Memorial Park in London.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. today (Saturday) at the funeral home.

Cerena Monhollen

Cerena Vanderpool Monhollen, 88, of Lorain, Ohio, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006 at Lake Pointe Nursing Home in Lorain, Ohio.

She was the wife of the late Royal Monhollen.

The funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bryant Cemetery..

The family will receive friends after 7 p.m. today (Saturday) at the funeral home.

Clifford Huddleston

Rev. Clifford Huddleston, 85, of 7th Street, Corbin, passed away Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006 in Baptist Regional Medical Center.

He was the husband of Bobbie Huddleston. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Harold Huddleston and wife Jan of Corbin, Jenny Smith and husband Rev. Jabe Smith of Corbin, Karen Lawless and husband Randy of Corbin, Ronnie Sutton and wife Paula of Corbin, Vonna Hutson and husband Phil Hutson of Corbin; one daughter-in-law, Lois Jane Huddleston Wallace of Florida; one sister, Roberta Carr of Corbin; eight grandchildren, Carla Snider of Westerville, Ohio, Mark Huddleston of Corbin, Michael Jones and wife Becca of Corbin, Tiffany Jones of Corbin, Stephanie Lawless of Corbin, Stacie Lawless of Corbin, Robert J. Sutton, U.S. Navy of New York, Melanie Sutton of Corbin; and two great grandchildren, Cami Snider and Rachel Snider of Westerfield, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Ron Huddleston and Carl Huddleston; and his first wife, Lavada.

Clifford was a Baptist minister for over 50 years. He organized Savoy Baptist Church in Savoy, Monticello Baptist Church in Monticello, Old Fashion Faith in Somerset and Faith Baptist Church in Corbin. He also pastored Frankfort Baptist Church, Watson Chapel Baptist, Oak Grove Baptist Church, Kentucky Hill Baptist Church in Jellico, Faith Baptist Church in Norwood, Ohio, Alsile Baptist Church and Mt. Zion Baptist Church in London, Paint Hill Baptist in Babourville, Sandstone Baptist Church in Corbin and Sawyers Baptist Church in McCreary County; pastoring at some of these churches more than once.

He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Corbin.

Clifford was a veteran of World War II, United States Army, having fought in the European Theater during the Battle of the Bulge. He was past commander of the DAV post in Williamsburg and a Kentucky Colonel.

Funeral services will be held at the Ellison Funeral Home chapel on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2006 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Doyle Lester and Rev. Jabe Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery, Davis addition with military honors at graveside.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today (Saturda), at the Ellison Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Mark Huddleston, Michael Jones, Robert Sutton, Kenneth Lawless, Ken Carr and Jeff Keck.
