Three local young women are on their way to experience the Big Apple.

Amid all the sightseeing, the main objective will be to bring home the crown. Bailee O’Kuma (Pre-Teen Ky. All American), Madison O’Kuma (Jr. Miss Kentucky All-American) and Courtney Norvell (Miss Ky. All American) are among several contestants that will be representing Kentucky at the 2010 All American Girl and Boy Pageant which will be held August 14-15.

Celebrating its 25th year, the All American Pageant will host representatives from across America all vying for over $60,000 in gifts, prizes, crowns and savings bonds. While there, they will compete in modeling (both runway and live television commercial), talent, interview and evening wear.

Some previous contestants in this pageant have gone on to secure national television commercials, starred in Broadway shows as well as in television shows and in major motion films.

As an added attraction this year, ABC will be filming a live documentary. The national director, Tricia Hoffman, has been a casting agent for over 30 years. She is also a noted author and has helped launch numerous careers in the entertainment industry.

Madison and Bailee are the twin daughters of Jonathan and Janie O’Kuma of Gray. Courtney is the daughter of Patrick & Leah Norvell of Corbin.
