From Winchester to Woodbine, Frankfort to Keavy, they came to pay their respects Ñ their badges covered with somber black stripes of cloth.
Mourners remembered retired firefighter Phil Warren as a dedicated hero at his funeral Wednesday Ñ five days after the end of his battle with lung cancer Ñ in a ceremony attended by 42 emergency response agencies from around the state.
