Trial begins in federal lawsuit

The federal trial for a woman who alleges her civil rights were violated during an arrest in Williamsburg started Wednesday in London’s U.S. District Court before Judge Gregory Van Tatenhove.

Agreements reached on hydro power, property loan

Two one-year agreements — one with the Southeastern Power Administration (SEPA), the other on renewing a loan on the property where the Corbin Utilities Commission’s headquartered — were reached by the CUC’s Board at their regular meeting Tuesday.

Revised regulations on HB1 calm objections

FRANKFORT Revised regulations implementing a wide-ranging new law to reign in prescription drug abuse seem to have quelled the most vociferous objections to the law.
