17-year-old arrested for organized crime
A 17-year-old female remains in the Breathitt County Juvenile Detention Facility after Laurel County Sheriff’s Detective Jason Back discovered she was involved with four adults in trafficking crystal meth, marijuana and assorted prescription pain pills.
The teen faces charges of participating in organized crime.
Wandering man arrested near London
Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies Josh Scott and Shawn Boroviak were dispatched to Boggs Road Tuesday to investigate a complaint of a man going door to door and knocking.
When deputies arrived they found Michael T. Horne, 25, of Williamsburg. They learned Horne knew no one in the area and that he was intoxicated.
He was arrested and faces charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal trespass.
He was jailed in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
Party complaint leads to arrest
A report of an early morning underage drinking party on Tom Cat Trail brought Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies Josh Scott and Shawn Boroviak to investigate Tuesday.
No one was located at the residence in question, but Kentucky State Police and the deputies checked a vehicle located nearby. According to Sheriff John Root, as officers approached the vehicle, a female ran away on foot.
Deputies caught up with and arrested Kendra L. Davidson, 20, of East Bernstadt, who now faces charges of public intoxication, possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, second-degree fleeing or evading police on foot, and resisting arrest.
She was jailed in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
Complaints lead to drug arrest
Laurel County Sheriff John Root reports the department received complaints that a woman was selling pills on Clark Lane.
Detective Jason Back discovered Marian Farris, 53, of London, had received 120 roxicet pills on Nov. 15. Root said that as of Monday, Back discovered she had neither the pills nor the bottle they were in.
Lt. Rodney Van Zant assisted Back in arresting Farris, who is now in the Laurel County Correctional Center. She faces charges of first-offense, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
Man arrested after assaulting mother
Timothy D. Lewis, 41, of London was arrested by Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy William Bo Harris Tuesday, according to Sheriff John Root.
Harris was dispatched to investigate a domestic violence complaint and found Lewis’ mother with a cut on her hand. Root said she also had been struck in the head.
Harris was located near the home and then jailed in the Laurel County Correctional Center facing charges of fourth-degree assault by domestic violence.
Sgt. Josh Gaylor assisted in the investigation.
