Several Londoners have been arrested in connection with the illegal sale of prescription medication, according to London Police Chief Stewart Walker.
The arrests come after a seven-month investigation into the prescription drug trafficking by the department’s detectives.
Those people arrested Tuesday were Matthew R. Robinson and Brandon K. Mays, both of whom were charged with trafficking in a controlled substance.
Arrested Wednesday were Phillip and Stephanie Adams, Johnny M. Mills and Jerry W. Abner. The Adams and Abner were charged with trafficking in a controlled substance. Mills faces two counts of that same charge.
The investigation continues by Detective Jimmy Phelps.
Assisting in the arrests and investigation were detectives Allen Harris and Gary Proffitt. Assisting in the arrest was Sgt. Travis Hurley.
More arrests are expected.
