East Bernstadt man arrested for trafficking drugs

An East Bernstadt man remains jailed at the Laurel County Correctional Center after a search of his home Friday.

Laurel County Sheriff John Root said detectives Brad Mitchell and Jason Back arrested Donald W. Radford, 55.

During an investigation into illegal drug trafficking, detectives executed both an arrest warrant and a search warrant. The search warrant was for a residence on KY 1376E north of London.

Radford now faces charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

Detectives allege Radford sold Oxycodone pills to another subject.

Assisting on the investigation and arrest was Root, Chief Deputy Eddy Sizemore, Lieutenant Rodney Van Zant, Sgt. Chuck Johnson, Deputy Brett Reeves, Deputy Gilbert Acciardo, Detective Daryl Zanet and agents with the London Office of the D.E.A.

Mitchell and Back continue to investigate.

Radford is under a pending $25,000 cash bond and is set to appear in court Monday.
