Hometown Bank, Falls Hwy, robbed at gunpoint

CORBIN — According to Whitley County Sheriff Colan Harrell, Hometown Bank of Corbin, located at the intersection of Cumberland Falls Highway and Corinth Road was robbed about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

One subject waited in a car while another walked into the bank wearing sweat pants. He may also have been wearing a wig. He brandished a handgun and demanded money. No one was injured in the robbery. Police continue to seek the robbery subjects.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to local your local law enforcement agency.
