CORBIN — Woman admits to shooting death

“He’s dead.” That’s what Charlene Sue King, 49, of Barbourville, repeated seven times to a Knox County 911 dispatcher Tuesday after she admitted shooting a Barbourville man to death.

Business license ordinance gets first reading

Next month, the City of Corbin will have a new Director of Parks and Recreation.

Final version of Williamsburg Comprehensive Plan received

Williamsburg City Council members received a finalized version of the city’s Comprehensive Plan during Monday’s regular meeting.

Main Street in Corbin to be closed

U.S. 25W (Main Street) in Corbin will be closed at the 11th Street intersection beginning at 9 p.m. on Thursday and concluding at 3 a.m. on Friday.

Public Information Meeting to be held concerning intersection upgrade

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has scheduled a Public Information Meeting for the proposed roundabout-type intersection upgrade at KY 363 and KY 1006 in Laurel County.
