A man charged in the murder of his 25-year-old girlfriend appeared in Laurel District Court Wednesday.
Sean Messer, 34, was appointed a public defender and his bail remains at $250,000 cash, according to a court official. He will appear in court next at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at which point the case could be waived to a grand jury.
Messer was arrested early Tuesday morning in connection with the stabbing death of Pamela S. Bobbitt. She was found by police inside her home at Plantation Apartments after 11 p.m. Monday. She had suffered multiple stab wounds and was declared dead at Saint Joseph-London hospital by the Laurel County Coroner’s Office.
Messer was arrested about three hours later when he tried to retrieve his car, which was under police surveillance.
