Dorothy Thomas

CORBIN — Mrs. Dorothy Fuson Thomas, age 69, of Barbourville, was born in Bell County, on June 5, 1944, to the late Walter and Tilda Madon Fuson and departed this life on July 19, 2013, at Baptist Health Corbin. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed working, visiting with friends and time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, four brothers: Oakley Fuson, Estell Fuson, Clarence Fuson and Matt Fuson; and three sisters: Ethel Sylvia Fuson, Francis Fuson and Gladys Fuson Ware preceded her in death.

Dorothy is survived by her loving children: Larry Wayne Taylor, of LaGrange; Clifton Taylor, of Critendon, Kathy V. Browning, of London, Karen Sue Honeycutt and husband Ralph, of Barbourville, and Carla Jo Smith, of Lily; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Thomas will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Bill Gibson and the Rev. Alva Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Centers Branch Cemetery with Family and friends serving as pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Friends may call at the Barbourville Funeral Home Sunday evening from 6:30-9 p.m., Monday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to the funeral hour at 1 p.m.
