CORBIN — Special to The Times-Tribune

At the end of the first count in the race for May Day Queen and Tiny Queen, the Ossoli Club has released the following results:

First place in the May Queen Race at this time is Jacqueline Elizabeth Noell. Emma Kate Carloftis is in second place. In third place at this time is Kaitlyn Rebecca Waddle.

In the race for Tiny Queen at this time, Audrey Grace Mahan is in first place. Ava Helen McGowen is in second place, and Kylie Beth Cuel is in third place.  The race for May Queen and Tiny Queen will continue until noon on Friday, April 26.

It was originally reported that the voting container for Hannah Marie Logan would be at Hometown Bank on Master Street, but her official voting container is at Hometown Bank on the Falls Highway.

Since W.D. Bryant will no longer be serving as a May Day sponsor, Makayla Leigh Beecham’s official voting box will now be sponsored by the Corbin News Journal at 215 North Main Street

The May Day Festival is sponsored annually by the GFWC KY Ossoli Club of Corbin and will be held this year at the Arena at 7 p.m. Friday, May 3. Tickets for the event may be purchased through Ticket Master or at the Arena Box Office up to and including the night of the event.

All May Day Festival proceeds are used to fund community projects, and donations for the queen candidates are tax deductable (checks should be written to the Ossoli Foundation with the candidate’s name indicated on the memo line).
