CORBIN — By John L. Ross / Staff Writer
Former Knox County Public School teacher and coach Terry Jones faces arraignment Friday on one charge of third-degree rape — which he was indicted for April 25.
Jones, 37, of Heidrick, was indicted for that charge after allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse with a minor under age 18 on March 1.
According to a statement released from Knox County schools, Jones was a teacher and assistant girls basketball coach during the 2013-2014 school year — but is now no longer employed by the school system.
After Jones was officially indicted, a warrant was issued for his arrest — he was arrested by the Kentucky State Police, according to a statement KSP has released.
