More than 30 indicted for drugs

More than 30 people were indicted Monday in Whitley County Circuit Court — all of those indicted face a various array of drug charges.

An indictment is a formal charge by a grand jury — it is not a conviction nor an admission of guilt.

Those indicted Monday and their charges include:

— Leann Michelle Perkins, 28, of Williamsburg, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after she allegedly sold one Suboxone sublingual strip for $25 to a confidential informant working with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on July 23, 2013. JailTracker records indicate she was booked for these charges March 10 and released March 26 on a $15,000 surety bond. A second bond for another case she faces shows her released under a $15,000 cash bond with a monitored conditional release. She has one co-defendant in this case, Christopher Rogers.

— Christopher Rogers, 29, of Williamsburg, was named on a two-count indictment in Whitley County Circuit Court Monday for charges incurred July 26, 2013. The first count indicts him for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold one Suboxone sublingual strip for $25 to a confidential informant working with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office. The second count indicts him for being a second-degree persistent felony offender after his September 2006 conviction in Whitley Circuit Court for theft by deception of property valued at more than $300. JailTracker records indicate he was booked for these charges March 10 and released April 4 on a $15,000 surety bond. A second bond for another case he faces shows him released under a $15,000 cash bond with a monitored conditional release. He has one co-defendant in this case, Leann Perkins.

— Kenneth Dewayne Barnhill, 47, of Williamsburg, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold one Oxycodone for $45 to a confidential informant working with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on July 31, 2013. He was booked into the Whitley County Detention Center Feb. 2 and released Tuesday on a $7,500 surety bond. He has one co-defendant in this case, Wendy Jones.

— Wendy Dawn Jones, 34, of Williamsburg, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after she allegedly sold one Oxycodone for $45 to a confidential informant working with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on July 31, 2013. She was booked into the Whitley County Detention Center Nov. 26. JailTracker records show she faces unrelated contempt of court charges, for which she is jailed under a $3,136 cash bond. For these charges, she remains jailed under a $7,500 cash bond. She has one co-defendant in this case, Kenneth Barnhill.

— William Hubbard, 43, of Gray, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold one Suboxone sublingual film for $30 to a confidential informant working with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 7, 2013. There are no JailTracker records indicating he has been arrested or booked on these charges.

— Selena Marie Moore, 26, of Corbin, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after she allegedly sold one Subutex for $30 to a confidential informant working with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 29, 2013. JailTracker records indicate she was arrested and booked into the Whitley County Detention Center Jan. 13 for this and other charges. While her bond for these charges is $7,500 cash, two of her unrelated charges indicate she has no bond. She has one co-defendant in this case, Billy Lawson.

— Billy Ray Lawson Jr., 24, of Corbin, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold one Subutex for $30 to a confidential informant working with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 29, 2013. JailTracker records indicate he was arrested and booked into the Whitley County Detention Center Feb. 11 for these charges. His bond for these charges is $7,500 surety with a monitored conditional release. JailTracker records also indicate he was arrested again March 1 and released March 31 on public intoxication charges. He has one co-defendant in this case, Selena Moore.

— Stephen Kyle Bennett, 38, of Williamsburg, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold two Suboxone sublingual films for $50 to a confidential informant working with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 6, 2013. JailTracker records indicate he was arrested and booked into the Whitley County Detention Center Feb. 25 and released March 10 on a $5,000 surety bond. He has one co-defendant in this case, Melinda Caddell.

— Melinda J. Caddell, 40, of Williamsburg, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after she allegedly sold two Suboxone sublingual films for $50 to a confidential informant working with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 6, 2013. JailTracker records indicate she was arrested and booked into the Whitley County Detention Center Feb. 25 and released March 10 on a $5,000 surety bond. She has one co-defendant in this case, Stephen Bennett.

— Samuel L. Aday, 52, of Williamsburg, was named on a three-count indictment Monday for charges incurred. The first count indicts him for first-degree possession of a controlled substance after Whitley Sheriff’s Deputy Kirk Mays allegedly found him in possession of nine Oxycodone. The second count charges him with third-degree possession of a controlled substance after Mays allegedly discovered three Xanax in his possession. The third count indicts him for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, DUI, first offense. JailTracker records indicate he was booked into the Whitley County Detention Center Dec. 5 and released Jan. 17 on a $7,500 surety bond with an ankle bracelet requirement.

— Anthony Scott McCullah, 45, of Williamsburg, was named on a four-count indictment Monday for charges incurred Feb. 28. The first count indicts him for first-degree possession of a controlled substance after Deputy Mays allegedly found him in possession of one Oxycodone. The second count indicts him for second-degree possession of a controlled substance after Mays allegedly found him in possession of four Hydrocodone. The third count indicts him for third-degree possession of a controlled substance after Mays allegedly found him in possession of 15 Xanax. The fourth count indicts him for carrying a concealed deadly weapon after he was allegedly found carrying a Bryco .380 automatic handgun. JailTracker records indicate he was arrested Feb. 28. He was booked into the Whitley County Detention Center March 1 and released less than three minutes later on an unknown bond.

— John Wesley Morris, 27, of Williamsburg, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold six Dextroamphetamine for $40 to a confidential informant working with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 31, 2013. JailTracker records indicate he was arrested and booked into the Whitley County Detention Center Feb. 3 and released Feb. 10 on a $7,500 cash bond. JailTracker records indicate he also faces nonpayment of fines charges.

— Roy L. Carr, Jr., 40, of Williamsburg, was named on a two-count indictment Monday for charges incurred Feb. 1, 2013. The first count indicts him for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold one amphetamine for $10 for a confidential informant working with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office. The second count indicts him for being a first-degree persistent felony offender after previous convictions in Whitley Circuit Court. In June 2010 he was convicted of theft by unlawful taking; and in January 2011 he was convicted of first- and second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offenses. He was arrested and booked into the Whitley County Detention Center Feb. 25 and released March 12 on a $5,000 surety bond with an ankle bracelet requirement.

— Gregory Dople, 41, of Williamsburg, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold one morphine pill for $40 to a confidential informant working with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 11, 2013. There are no JailTracker records indicating he has been arrested or booked on these charges.

— Michael Adam Rickett, 31, of Williamsburg, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold one and one-half of amphetamine and two buspirone for $10 to a confidential informant working with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 13, 2013. He was arrested and booked for these charges Feb. 25 into the Whitley County Detention Center and released two days later on a $5,000 fully-secured bond.

— Sherman Lawson, 54, of Williamsburg, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold six Methadone for $60 to a confidential informant working with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on March 15, 2013. He was arrested and booked into the Whitley County Detention Center Dec. 6 and released less than three hours later on a $5,000 surety bond.

— Tamara L. Campbell, 28, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after she allegedly sold seven Oxycodone for $40 to a confidential informant working with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on June 27, 2013. She was arrested Feb. 4 for these charges and booked into the Whitley County Detention Center. She was released Feb. 12 on a $7,500 cash bond.

— Jackie Lynn Sulfridge, 38, of Williamsburg, was named on a two-count indictment for charges incurred Aug. 29, 2013. The first count indicts him for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold a quantity of methamphetamine for $60 to a confidential informant working with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office. The second count on his indictment charges him with being a second-degree persistent felony offender after his April 2008 conviction in Whitley Circuit Court for first-degree wanton endangerment. JailTracker records indicate he was booked into the detention center Feb. 12, where he remains under a $25,000 cash bond. Those records indicate he faces failure to appear charges as well.

— James E. Setser, 29, of Rockholds, was named on a two-count indictment for charges incurred Oct. 2, 2013. The first count indicts him for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold five Oxycodone and a quantity of methamphetamine for $80 to a confidential informant working with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office. The second count indicts him for being a first-degree persistent felony offender after previous convictions in Knox County Circuit Court. In September 2007 he was convicted of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense; and in April 2005 he was convicted of theft by unlawful taking. JailTracker records indicate he faces several charges, including failure to appear and manufacturing methamphetamine. He was arrested and booked into the detention center Oct. 9, 2013 and released March 28 on a $25,000 cash bond.

— David Tayor Mitchell, 28, of Williamsburg, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold one Suboxone sublingual film for $25 to a confidential informant working with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 21, 2013. JailTracker records indicate he was booked into the Whitley County Detention Center Feb. 13 and released less than four hours later on an unknown bond amount.

— Brooks Moses, 29, of Williamsburg, was named on a two-count indictment Monday. The first count indicts him for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold two Suboxone films for $45 to a confidential informant with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 18, 2013. The second count indicts him for another charge of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold eight Hydrocodone pills for $100 to a confidential informant with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 21, 2013. JailTracker records do not indicate he has been booked or jailed on these charges.

— Christopher Dople, 43, of Williamsburg, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold one-half of a Suboxone film for $10 to a confidential informant with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on March 15, 2013. He was arrested and booked into the Whitley County Detention Center Feb. 4 and released the next day on a $7,500 surety bond.

— Dustin Lee Sumner, 23, of Williamsburg, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold two Suboxone tablets for $40 to a confidential informant with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on April 5, 2013. He was arrested and booked into the detention center Feb. 6 and released 9 minutes later on an unknown bond amount, according to JailTracker records. He currently is jailed in the detention center for contempt of court and nonpayment of fine charges, according to JailTracker, and remains there under no bond.

— Bobbie J. Anderson, 27, of Williamsburg, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after she allegedly sold one Suboxone film for $30 to a confidential informant with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on April 8, 2013. While JailTracker records do not show whether she has been arrested or booked on these charges, it does show she was arrested Dec. 13 on unrelated drug and theft charges and released three days later on a $25,000 cash bond.

— Billie Jean Satterfield, 40, of Williamsburg, was named on a two-count indictment Monday for charges incurred April 17, 2013. The first count indicts her for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after she allegedly sold one Suboxone film for $25 to a confidential informant with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office. The second count indicts her for being a first-degree persistent felony offender after several convictions. In July 2004 in Whitley Circuit Court she was convicted of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. In February 2008 she was convicted of her first offense of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance in McCreary County Circuit Court, and in April that same year in Whitley County she was convicted of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. JailTracker records indicate she was given this arrest warrant while jailed on unrelated charges. Her bond for these charges was $7,500 cash — JailTracker records show she also faces a $10,000 cash bond related to theft charges.

— Ronald Joe Anderson, 27, of Williamsburg, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold two Suboxone films for $50 to a confidential informant with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on May 2, 2013. JailTracker records do not indicate whether he has been booked or arrested on these charges, however, it does show him currently jailed in the Whitley County Detention Center for four charges of nonpayment of fines. He is scheduled to be released April 28.

— Laci Gardner, 24, of Corbin, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after she allegedly sold one-half of a Suboxone film for $15 to a confidential informant with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on May 30, 2013. There are no JailTracker records indicating she has been arrested or booked on these charges.

— James Michael Lee, 37, of Williamsburg, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold one Suboxone film for $25 to a confidential informant with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on July 7, 2013. There are no JailTracker records indicating he has been arrested or booked on these charges.

— James Bennett, 40, of Corbin, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold two Suboxone films for $60 to a confidential informant with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on July 26, 2013. There are no JailTracker records indicating he has been arrested or booked on these charges.

— Brian S. Archer, 48, of Corbin, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold six Hydrocodone for $48 to a confidential informant with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on July 31, 2013. He was arrested and booked into the Whitley County Detention Center Feb. 4 and released Feb. 12 on a $7,500 surety bond.

— Lois Ann Maxwell, 41, of Corbin, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after she allegedly sold one Suboxone film for $30 to a confidential informant with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 8, 2013. She was arrested and booked into the Whitley County Detention Center Feb. 21 and released 27 minutes later on an unknown bond, according to JailTracker records.

— Billy Kidd Jones, 38, of Williamsburg, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold one Suboxone film for $25 to a confidential informant with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office on Oct. 11, 2013. He was arrested and booked into the Whitley County Detention Center Feb. 25, where he remains on a $50,000 cash bond.

— Billy Jones was named on a second indictment with a second man, William Cody Sulfridge, 20, of Williamsburg, for charges incurred Oct. 11, 2013. The two were indicted for trafficking in a simulated controlled substance, first offense, when they allegedly sold to a confidential informant a quantity of what they believed to be methamphetamine for $25. Both men remain jailed in the Whitley County Detention Center.
