Four injured in Laurel crash, Corbin, KY

CORBIN — By LeeAnn Cain / Staff Writer

A three-car crash at the intersection of US 25 and KY 192 Tuesday sent several people to the hospital.

According to London Police Sgt. Doug Thomas, four people were injured, but none of those injuries were serious.

London Police Chief Stewart Walker said that Jason Turner, of Stinnett, was driving a maroon 2003 Ford Focus eastbound on KY 192. Walker said Turner ran a red light at the intersection of US 25 and struck a white 2002 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Shirley Roark, of East Bernstadt, as she was turning left onto KY 192 from northbound US 25.

Roark’s vehicle then crashed into a 2012 Honda CR-V driven by Alice Hendrickson, of London.

Roark and Turner were extricated from their vehicles by crew members with London-Laurel County EMS. Roark, Turner and his passengers — Julie Turner and Robert Turner — were transported to Saint Joseph London to be treated for multiple injuries. Hendrickson did not sustain any injuries.

Assisting at the scene were the London Police Department, the London Fire and Rescue Department, and Ambulance, Inc. of Laurel County.

The wreck remains under investigation by Sgt. Randy Medlock.
