A clinic serving southern Laurel County and North Corbin has shut its doors, with the facility now consolidated and merged with other Baptist Health Clinics.
Baptist Health Primary Care of Lily, located on U.S. 25, closed last week.
In an announcement made Thursday, Baptist Health Corbin said the clinic’s medical providers, as well as the patients they serve, would be sent to three local Baptist clinics to continue medical services.
Dr. Akif Ahmad is now seeing patients at Baptist Health Primary Care of London, located at 100 London Mountain View Drive. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 606-330-4140.
Janey Phipps, an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, is now seeing patients at Baptist Health Cardiology and Internal Medicine, located at 15 Moonbow Plaza in Corbin. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 606-528-5331.
Margaret Zoellers, also an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, is now seeing patients at Baptist Health Heart Specialists, located at 45 Moonbow Plaza in Corbin. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 606-423-9010.
“Patients will be able to receive the same quality care by their same provider in a new location,” the announcement noted.
