Man faces 33-count indictment

A Walton man was handed a 33-count indictment by Judge Paul K. Winchester in Whitley County Circuit Court Monday.

Christopher S. Partin, 41, faces 33 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.

According to the indictment, on April 5, 2012, these 33 counts were levied, “when, having knowledge of its content, character, and that the sexual performance is by a minor, he knowingly had in his possession or control matter which visually depicted an actual sexual performance by a minor.”

That same indictment states Corbin Police Detective William Rose was the witness to the alleged crimes.

Several others were indicted Monday by the Whitley County grand jury. An indictment is a formal charge by a grand jury and not a conviction or admission of guilt.

Those indicted and their charges include:

— Joshua R. Walters, 24, of Artemus, received a two-count indictment for charges incurred Feb. 26. The first count indicts Walters for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold a quantity of methamphetamine to a confidential informant for $50. The second count indicts him for first-degree possession of a controlled substance after Corbin Police Officer Steven Meadors allegedly found him in possession of meth. Walters has one co-defendant in this case, Victoria Day.

— Victoria Day, 22, of Corbin, received a two-count indictment for charges incurred Feb. 26. The first count indicts her for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after he allegedly sold a quantity of methamphetamine to a confidential informant for $50. The second count indicts Day for possession of marijuana under 8 ounces after Corbin Police Officer Steven Meadors allegedly found her in possession of a quantity of marijuana. She has a co-defendant in this case, Joshua Walters.

— Travis Lee Wilson, 27, of Williamsburg, was handed a two-count indictment for charges incurred April 13. The first count of the indictment charges him with second-degree burglary after allegedly unlawfully entering the residence of Suzann and Dillon Phillips with the intent to commit a crime. The second count indicts him for theft by unlawful taking more than $500 but less than $10,000 after allegedly taking various items belonging to the Phillips. Wilson remains jailed in the Whitley County Detention Center under a $25,000 cash bond with an ankle bracelet, a second cash bond for $2,500 and a third cash bond of $200. According to JailTracker records, he also faces charges of possession of marijuana, public intoxication under a controlled substance, giving an officer a false name, failure to appear, and two non-payment of fines charges.

— Jason Earl Tackett, 34, of Rockholds, was indicted for failure to comply with the sex offender registry April 17 when he, as a convicted sex offender, allegedly failed to register his address or change of address. He remains jailed in the Whitley County Detention Center under a $5,000 cash bond with an ankle bracelet.

— LaDonna Diane Bunch, 35, of Williamsburg, received a two-count indictment for charges incurred April 22. The first count indicts her for theft by deception of more than $500 but less than $10,000 after allegedly using the internet to wrongfully change the address to which a Social Security check was sent so she could receive and cash the check against the owner’s will. The second count indicts Bunch for theft of identity when she allegedly went online and used the Social Security number and other information of Albert McKiddy to create an account in order to obtain McKiddy’s Social Security. — Ricky Taylor, 54, of Williamsburg, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling two Oxycodone pills to a confidential informant for $80 on Oct. 10, 2012.

— Edna Canada, 28, of Red Bird River Road, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling one Oxycodone pill to a confidential informant for $40 on Sept. 6, 2012. She has one co-defendant in this case, Jimmy Canada. She was also indicted on another case for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling 10 Oxycodone pills to a confidential informant for $40 on Sept. 6, 2012.

— Jimmy Canada, 36, of Red Bird River Road, received a two-count indictment for charges incurred Sept. 6, 2012. The first count indicts Canada for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling two Oxycodone to a confidential informant for $80. The second count indicts Canada for first-degree persistent felony offender after his previous conviction in January 2009 of trafficking in marijuana, more than eight ounces but less than five pounds in Whitley Circuit Court, as well as his March 2004 conviction of trafficking in marijuana, more than eight ounces but less than five pounds in Whitley Circuit Court.

— Rodney Fuson, 45, of Frakes Road, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling two Oxycodone pills to a confidential informant for $18 on Aug. 17, 2012.

— Dewey Elmer Wilson, Sr., 59, of Williamsburg, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling one oxymorphone pill to a confidential informant for $30 on Aug. 10, 2012. He remains jailed in the Whitley County Detention Center under a $7,500 cash bond.

— Hairm Smith, 57, of Corbin, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling two Oxycodone pills to a confidential informant for $70 on Aug. 8, 2012.

— Gregory Waddell, 45, of Rockholds, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling one and a half Oxycodone pills to a confidential informant for $60 on July 27, 2012.

— Johnny Blakely, 49, of Williamsburg, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling one Oxycodone pill to a confidential informant for $35 on June 15, 2012.

— Felisha Peace, 23, of Williamsburg, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling two Oxycodone pills to a confidential informant for $80 on Feb. 1.

— Freddie Taylor, 38, of Williamsburg, was handed a two-count indictment. The first count indicts him for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling three Oxycodone pills to a confidential informant for $120 on Oct. 11, 2012. The second count also indicts Taylor for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling two Oxycodone pills to a confidential informant for $80 on Dec. 6, 2012.

— Tessia Hopkins, 37, of Rockholds, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling one Oxycodone pill to a confidential informant for $40 on July 31, 2012.

— Heather Ward, 27, of Rockholds, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling one Oxycodone pill to a confidential informant for $40 on Aug. 3, 2012.

— Denny Waddell, 62, of Rockholds, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling two hydrocodone pills to a confidential informant for $20 on July 13, 2012.

— Jeffery Lawson, 49, of Rockholds, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling three Oxycodone pills to a confidential informant for $90 on Dec. 18, 2012.

— Norman Peace, 65, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling one Oxycodone pill to a confidential informant for $40 on Nov. 28, 2012.

— Ricky Claxton, 38, of Williamsburg, was handed a two-count indictment Monday. The first count indicts him for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling two Suboxone films to a confidential informant for $50 on Feb. 28. The second count indicts him for second-degree persistent felony offender after he was convicted for his first offense of trafficking in a controlled substance on Oct. 13, 2005 in Knox County Circuit Court.

— Danny Veach, 61, of Rockholds, received a two-count indictment. The first count indicts Veach for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling two Oxycodone pills to a confidential informant for $80 on Oct. 1, 2012. The second count indicts him for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling two Oxycodone pills to a confidential informant for $80 on Nov. 8, 2012.

— Kathy Fuentez, 55, of Knoxville, Tenn., was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling two Oxycodone pills to a confidential informant for $80 on Oct. 12, 2012.

— Perfecto Fuentez, 54, of Knoxville, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling two Oxycodone pills to a confidential informant for $80 on Oct. 11, 2012.

— James Bell, 43, of Williamsburg, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling two Oxycodone pills to a confidential informant for $80 on Jan. 15. Bell has one co-defendant in this case, Kristy Baker.

— Kristy Baker, 34, of Williamsburg, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling two Oxycodone pills to a confidential informant for $80 on Jan. 15, 2012. Her co-defendant in this case in James Bell.

— Anita Lois McCune, 45, of Williamsburg, was indicted for her second offense of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling one Oxycontin pill to a confidential informant for $80 on Nov. 1, 2012. She remains jailed in the Whitley County Detention Center under a $7,500 fully-secured bond.

— Troy Ray Smith, 50, of Rockholds, was handed a two-count indictment. The first count indicts him for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling two and a half methadone doses to a confidential informant for $20 on June 11, 2012. The second count indicts Smith for trafficking in marijuana under eight ounces after allegedly selling eight grams of marijuana to a confidential informant for $40 on June 11, 2012. He remains jailed in the Whitley County Detention Center under a $7,500 fully-secured bond.

— Sammy Clay Smith, 41, of Rockholds, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling one Oxycodone pill to a confidential informant for $10 on June 1, 2012. He remains jailed at the Whitley County Detention Center and faces other charges, including possession of marijuana and public intoxication under a controlled substance. He is also a fugitive from another state, and remains jailed without bond.

— Joe Veach, 53, of Whetstone Road, was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling one Oxycodone pill to a confidential informant for $40 on May 24, 2012.

— Helen Canada, 48, of Woodbine, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling three hydrocodone pills to a confidential informant for $24 on March 27.

— Neddie Lawson, 49, of Williamsburg, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling eight hydrocodone pills to a confidential informant for $80 on Feb. 18.

— Timothy Curnutt, 39, of Williamsburg, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling two Suboxone films to a confidential informant for $40 on Oct. 9, 2012.

— Cathy Garland, 55, of Siler, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling two hydrocodone pills to a confidential informant for $20 on June 21, 2012. She has one co-defendant in this case, Delbert Bolton.

— Delbert Bolton, 50, of Siler, was indicted for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling two hydrocodone pills to a confidential informant for $20 on June 21, 2012. He was one co-defendant in this case, Cathy Garland.

— Lester Watson, 36, of Williamsburg, was handed a three-count indictment Monday. The first count indicts him for first-degree possession of a controlled substance after Whitley County Deputy Kirk Mays allegedly found four Percocet pills in his possession March 9. The second count indicts Watson for second-degree possession of a controlled substance after Mays allegedly found 12 hydrocodone pills in his possession March 9. The third count indicts him for possession of marijuana under eight ounces after Mays allegedly found a quantity of marijuana in his possession.

— Barry Welborn, 32, of Corbin, was handed a five-count superseding indictment for charges incurred July 12, 2012. Welborn was previously indicted in November for manufacturing methamphetamine and first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

The first count of the indictment received Monday indicts Welborn for manufacturing methamphetamine.

The second count indicts him for first-degree possession of a controlled substance after Kentucky State Trooper Tony Dingess allegedly found him to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine.

The third count indicts him for second-degree possession of a controlled substance after Dingess allegedly found him in possession of one hydrocodone tablet.

The fourth count indicts him for his first offense of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.

The fifth count indicts him for possession of drug paraphernalia after he was allegedly found in possession of a coffee filter, a silver cylinder, a glass pipe and four syringes. He has two co-defendants in this case, Lori N. Welborn and Barbara S. Leake.

— James Durham, 69, of Williamsburg, received a two-count indictment. The first count indicts him for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling three hydrocodone pills to a confidential informant for $21 on July 23, 2012. The second count indicts him for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after allegedly selling six hydrocodone pills to a confidential informant for $48 on July 27, 2012.
