The body of Angela Nicole Canada Singleton, 25, formerly of Canadatown, was found Wednesday afternoon in Madison County near the Jessamine County line.
She had disappeared the previous Sunday.
Her automobile was found burning near I-75’s 101 mile-marker in Madison County.
Friday her husband, Jason E. Singleton, was charged with her Madison County murder.
Prior to that, Singleton, 34, of Richmond, was arrested Thursday in Somerset after reportedly stealing a car and holding four people hostage at gunpoint.
The car was said to have been taken near the Somerset Mall, and from there he took it to the Super Service Trucking Company where the hostages were held.
After about 15 minutes, he surrendered to Somerset police and was taken to the Pulaski County Detention Center.
He was charged in Pulaski County with first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, theft of an auto by unlawful taking, disorderly conduct, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and criminal mischief.
