For job seekers having difficulty landing a good job or writing a resume, there’s a new opportunity available.

It’s called Job Clubs of Eastern Kentucky.

The first meeting of the Knox County Job Club is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the KCEOC WIA office.

That office is at 464 Court Square in Barbourville.

The Knox County Job Club is a partnership between Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program (EKCEP), KCEOC Community Action and the Kentucky Career Center Office of Employment and Training (OET).

Career experts in the Job Club partnership have a program powered by the career-advising industry’s best ideas and tools to help those searching for employment build the skills and connections they need to find rewarding new work.

In Job Club, participants will build job leads, receive job search advice, have access to job networking opportunities and build a professional, employer-approved resumé.

The experts guiding participants through Job Club have been in this industry for many years and know the steps necessary to ensure desired employment.

All new members should arrive 30 minutes prior for new member orientation. For more information or to speak with a career adviser about the Knox County Job Club, call 606-546-2639.
