Kentucky State Police seeks job applicants

For those interested in a career with law enforcement, the Kentucky State Police has an opportunity for you.

The KSP currently seeks applicants for the position of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer I.

To be eligible for employment, applicants must be at least 21, a U.S. citizen, in good health and possess a valid driver’s license.

Interested applicants must also meet at least one of the following standards:

—A minimum of 54 college semester hours;

—A high school diploma with at least two years of active military duty;

—At least two years of experience as a full-time, sworn law enforcement officer, or;

—At least two years of experience as a commercial vehicle inspector under the North American Standard requirement.  

Current law enforcement officers certified as Peace Officer Professional Standards may enter field training after successful completion of an eight-week Commercial Vehicle Safety Regulation course.
