Thanksgiving, a federal holiday, is Thursday. Therefore, there will be no mail delivery and no issue of the Times-Tribune. Subscribers will receive the next edition in the mail on Friday and copies will be available at newsstands. The Times-Tribune office will be closed Thursday.
In the Tri-County, city offices in London, Corbin, Barbourville, and Williamsburg will be closed on Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving, as well as county offices in Knox, Laurel, and Whitley counties.
The Whitley County, Knox County, and Laurel County Health Departments will be closed Thursday and Friday.
There will be no garbage pickup in Williamsburg or Corbin. Residents of the cities will have Thursday’s garbage picked up on Wednesday, and Friday’s garbage picked up on Monday.
Garbage pickup will occur Monday in London and Barbourville, although garbage pickup will occur earlier than usual in London Thursday. Residents of London are advised to put their garbage out Wednesday night.
Williamsburg’s Turkey Trot 5k will be Thursday, Nov. 28, at Bill Woods Park. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Visit www.williamsburgky.com or call 549-6033.
