Four reappointed to Laurel Planning and Zoning Board

CORBIN — By LeeAnn Cain / Staff Writer

Four people were reappointed to the Laurel County Planning and Zoning Board at Monday’s special-called meeting of the Laurel County Fiscal Court.

According to the Laurel County Judge-Executive’s office, Elbert Patton’s term now expires Feb. 28, 2017. Sallie Davidson’s new term expires May 31, 2017. Butch Cupp’s term now expires June 30, 2017. Will Johnson’s new term expires July 31, 2017.

In addition, $500,000 was transferred from the occupational tax fund to the general fund. According to the Laurel County Judge-Executive’s office, the transfer was made due to the fact that this month’s fiscal court meeting will be later than usual due to elections. This month’s meeting will be held May 29, and the transfer was made to ensure the county had adequate funding for operating expenses until the next meeting.
