CORBIN — By Becky Killian / Editor
Excess rain is thought to be the cause of a partial roof collapse at Liquor King, located along Cumberland Falls Highway in Corbin.
Manager Ray Smith said the collapse happened about 5:30 a.m. Sunday. Nobody was in the store at the time.
Smith said the collapse caused “minimum damage” and the store opened as usual at 1 p.m. Sunday.
As a result of the collapse, the store’s east entrance was blocked as workers repaired the damage. Smith said the store will continue to remain open as the repairs continue.
