CORBIN — Lions Club Christmas Basket sign-ups are this week

Hundreds of food baskets have been delivered to needy families by the Corbin Lions Club since 1949. Once again, club members and volunteers will carry on their proud Christmas tradition for the 64th straight year, starting with sign-ups later this week.

Radio upgrade deadline nears

Narrowbanding: It may not be a common term heard every day, but for public safety personnel using two-way radios, it’s been a part of their vocabulary since a Federal Communications Commission mandate in 2010.

Corbin High School’s Red Radio goes Green

Corbin High School recently completed the installation of a solar panel system, which will help power the FM station operated by the school district for the Corbin community. The project is designed to demonstrate to students how solar power works and how it can be used in business operations.
