There’s a crisp feeling in the air these days, and the leaves falling around downtown Corbin lately could only mean one thing — Octoberfest time is near.

65th annual Boone Festival starts Sunday

For 64 straight years, Barbourville and Knox County have paid homage to one of America’s greatest pioneers, Daniel Boone.

The Barbourville Police Department will get upgrades, thanks to some state money.

Two Knox County residents were arrested Thursday after Barbourville Police executed a search warrant at a drug house in Artemus.
