A Laurel County couple set to appear in Laurel County Circuit Court Friday for a pretrial conference had their appearance moved to May 17.
Dustin Eugene Brummett, 25, and Charlene Brummett, 37, face several charges involving sexual abuse of a minor.
Dustin Brummett faces four counts of first-degree rape and two counts of third-degree sodomy, as well as other related charges. Charlene Brummett faces four counts of first-degree complicity to commit rape and two counts of third-degree complicity to commit sodomy, and other related charges.
Dustin Brummett is represented in court by Attorney Mike Brophy. Charlene Brummett’s defense attorney is Barbara Carnes.
It was learned in court that Charlene Brummett is currently at the Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center in La Grange. Dustin Brummett was handcuffed in court Friday, and he remains in the Laurel County Correctional Center under a $250,000 cash bond.
The couple was handed a 15-count indictment on these charges in December.
