Two injured in two-vehicle crash

Wreck slows traffic along Corbin Bypass

CORBIN — By Becky Killian / Editor

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash that happened about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of the Corbin Bypass and Opportunity Drive.

According to an investigation by Corbin Police Patrolman Mike Bisschop, the crash happened as Patrick Sizemore, 20, of London, was driving a white GMC Sierra pickup along the bypass. Sizemore attempted to turn from the bypass onto Opportunity Drive and drove into the path of a 2000 Jeep Cherokee driven by Joseph Pickard, 51, of Barbourville.

Deana Pickard, 48, who was a passenger in the Cherokee, and Joshua Hoskins, 21, who rode in the Sierra, were injured in the crash. Bisschop said both were transported to Baptist Health Corbin hospital with non-life threatening injures.

Other agencies responding included Knox EMS and Corbin Fire Department.

Bisschop continues his investigation.
