Two Williamsburg residents remain jailed at the Whitley County Detention Center after a lengthy drug investigation conducted by the Williamsburg Police Department.

According to Chief Wayne Bird, just about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers arrested Daniel Lee Brandenburg, 30, and Monica Lynn Hartman, 24, at a residence on Francis Lane.

Now the pair face several drug charges.

Brandenburg, who Bird said was “on state parole” from a prior drug trafficking conviction, now faces charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, specifically Roxicet, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

Hartman now faces charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

Detective Bobby Freeman continues his Investigation, and he was assisted by Bird, Deputy Chief Jason Caddell, Sgt. Jim Pool, and Kentucky Probation and Parole officers.
