16 indicted by Laurel County grand jury

A Laurel County circuit court grand jury indicted 16 people in 11 indictments returned Friday.

Casey Reed, 29, of London, was indicted with theft by unlawful taking something worth $10,000 in the first count.

The charges were that on or about Oct. 9, he unlawfully took a bulldozer worth $10,000.

The second count charges that on the next day he received stolen property worth more than $10,000. On that day he allegedly took a dump truck stolen from Monticello Banking.

Also indicted was Danny Robinson, 51, of London, charged with theft by unlawful taking of the value of $500 to $10,000.

The indictment states that he “knowingly and unlawfully” took a trailer worth between $500 and $10,000. The trailer was owned by Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.).

A second count also charges him with driving under the influence of intoxicants and a third count of driving with no tail lights in his vehicle.

The charges came on or about Nov. 22.

•    Latasha Lynch, 21, of London, and Robert Havens Jr., 33, of Corbin, were charged with second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and theft by unlawful taking worth less than $500.

•    James Bradley Smith, 31, Christopher Grant Hammons, 34, of London, and Cathy Colleen Wickersham, 34, of Manchester, fraudulent use of a debit or credit card of $500 to $10,000. Smith was charged with second-degree burglary and second-degree persistent felony offender (PFO).

•    Jenny Vann (aka Callahan), 30, of London, receiving stolen property worth $500 to $10,000.

•    Joshua Westerfield, 26, of London, receiving stolen property between $500 and $10,000.

•    Joshua Blackburn, 23, of London, two counts first-degree wanton endangerment and one count theft by unlawful taking of less than $500.

•    William St. John, 52, of Corbin, first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

•    David Smith, 30, of London, making methamphetamine.

•    Kevin Faulkner, 34, Kenneth Bays, 29, and Summer Angel, 25, all of Corbin, making meth and Bays and Angels, second-degree PFO.

•    Mike McCormick, 46, and Samuel Burkhart, 41, both of London, making meth. McCormick first-degree and Burkhart, second-degree PFO.
