Two men were arrested on drug charges Wednesday after a confidential informant bought drugs from them at the Economy Inn in Corbin, according to Corbin Police Department Public Affairs Officer Major Rob Jones.
Timothy Long, 50, of Lily, and Marion Profitt, 65, of Corbin, were arrested about 11 a.m. after the informant bought narcotics and marijuana. A search warrant was obtained and police found drugs during a search of the room where the men had been staying.
Long and Profitt were jailed in the Whitley County Detention Center. Charges include trafficking in controlled substances within 1,000 feet of a school, second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana less than eight ounces, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
