Girls Minor and Little League State Tourney brackets released

CORBIN —

By Les Dixon / Sports Editor

The Minor League Girls and Little League Girls All-Star State Tournament brackets have been released and if you’re a North Laurel 9-10 year-old fan and/or a Clay County 11-12 year-old fan, you’re not going to be happy with either teams’ draw.

Both North Laurel and Clay County will have to play three consecutive days if they reach the championship game.

Yep, three straight, which means both teams will have to find a way to juggle their respective pitching staffs with Little League’s ruling that if a pitcher tosses two innings or more, they must get a day’s rest before pitching again.
