Bluegrass festival raises money for Shop With A Cop

CORBIN — Marty Raybon was one of the groups that played at a Bluegrass festival Saturday night held at the London Community Center. According to the event’s organizer, Bobby Owens, all of the proceeds from ticket sales went to Laurel  County’s Shop With A Cop.

Shop With A Cop allows children from low-income families to purchase items such as toys and clothing during the holiday season. Officers from both the London Police Department and the Laurel County Sheriff’s Department will be participating.

Mayor Troy Rudder was one of the attendees of the Bluegrass festival, and it raised several thousand dollars for Shop With A Cop.
