CORBIN — By John L. Ross / Staff Writer

A man facing charges after a police chase now has a trial date set.

Goble T. Brown, 20, of Scalf, appeared with his attorney, Jennifer Milligan, in Knox County Circuit Court before Judge Gregory Lay Friday.

Brown was scheduled for a pretrial conference, and during his appearance a trial date of Aug. 7 was set.

On Aug. 1, there will be a final pretrial conference as well as a probation revocation hearing.

Brown was arraigned in April on a two-count indictment. The first count indicts him for first-degree fleeing or evading the police after Knox County Sheriff’s Deputy Brian Hensley allegedly attempted to stop his vehicle.

The second count indicts Brown for first-degree wanton endangerment after allegedly creating a danger of death or physical injury to Hensley. He was jailed in the Knox County Detention Facility.
