An arson investigator from the Kentucky State Police London Post is among those who continue to seek the cause of the Nov. 3 fire at Corbin Manor Apartments.
KSP Detective Brian Lewis is investigating along with the Kentucky State Fire Marshal’s office, according to Trooper Lloyd Cochran, public information officer for the London Post, and State Fire Marshal Bill Swope.
The fire destroyed a building that housed offices, a maintenance area, a laundry facility and a community room.
West Knox Volunteer Fire & Rescue was called to the early morning blaze, which took about an hour to get under control, according to Chief Darryl Baker.
Other departments responding included Lily, Keavy and Laurel County. Laurel County Ambulance was also at the complex.
Baker said about 40 firefighters fought the fire. Firefighters remained at the complex for more than four hours.
