CORBIN — Both northbound lanes of I-75 have been shut down following a crash around the 21-mile marker involving a pickup truck and a tractor trailer, according to Whitley County Coroner Andy Croley.
The driver of the pickup was killed in the crash and declared dead at the scene. The tractor trailer driver has been taken to Baptist Regional Medical Center with what is believed to be non-threatening injuries. The crash happened about 4:20 a.m. and the interstate will remain closed until the highway has been cleared.
Preliminary findings indicate it may have been a wrong-way crash.
