KY 11 in B’ville to be closed

CORBIN — Times Tribune Staff Report

KY 11 (Daniel Boone Drive) in Barbourville will be closed at mile point 10 near the U.S. 25E junction beginning Thursday at 8 a.m. and concluding on Friday at 4:30 p.m., according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

The closure is necessary to allow crews to repair potholes that have developed on the deck of the bridge that carries KY 11 over the CSX railroad line.

All work is scheduled on a tentative basis and is subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area. Road condition reports for District 11 routes are available by calling 511 or by visiting the 511 travel and traffic information web site at http://511.ky.gov.
