Two face food stamp, Medicare fraud charges

Ten indictments charging 11 people were returned by the Knox County grand jury Friday.
Felisha L. Bodine (aka Davis), 24, of Corbin, was charged with allegedly fraudulently taking $9,620 worth of food stamps and $7,727.80 in Medicaid assistance.
The indictment charges that between Nov. 2005 and March 2009, she failed to report changes in factors affecting her eligibility for the food stamp and Medicaid programs.
Theresa L. Robinson, 42, of Corbin, was charged for the same offense. The indictment alleges that between April 2007 and April 2009, Robinson also failed to report a change in her eligibility for food stamps and Medicaid.
It charges that she fraudulently got $9,498 in food stamp assistance and $8,982.96 in Medicaid assistance.
In other indictments, James Clifford Kidd, 49, no address was given, was charged with receiving stolen property worth more than $10,000.
He allegedly received a 1962 Ford Galaxy reportedly stolen From Larry Hobbs.
He was also charged with being a first-degree persistent felony offender.
Charged with two counts of first-degree criminal mischief was Marvin Golden Jr., 38, of Bimble.
The indictment alleges that he damaged a Chevrolet Silverado Truck and a Nissan Altima owned by Randy Smith.
Krystal Langley, 31, of Barbourville, was indicted on seven counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. She allegedly possessed and wrote the following checks: $52.98, under the name of Kayla Rapier; $100, Austin Dozier; $86.10, Kayla Gibson; $304.36, Kenneth Saunders; $182, Tamera Brock; $378, Melanie Alsip and $70, Khristian Warfield.
Kurt Alen Wiegand, 40, of South Bend, Ind., was charged with second-degree forgery and theft of identity.
Clifford Messer, 51, of Barbourville, three counts of first-degree trafficking in oxycodone,
Alston Southwell Jr., 38, of Barbourville, two counts of first-degree trafficking in cocaine, two counts of second-degree trafficking in hydrocodone and one count of trafficking in marijuana within 1,000 yards of a school.
Joseph Taylor, 23, of Corbin and Samuel Johnson, 42, of London, were indicted together with making methamphetamine. Johnson was indicted as a first-degree persistent felony offender.
And Nicholas Cima, 20, no address given, persistent felony offender.
