Corbin Wal-Mart evacuated after bomb threat

Police were dispatched to the North Corbin Wal-Mart Thursday morning after someone called a bomb threat into the store.
According to officials from the Kentucky State Police, the call was made prior to 8 a.m. and the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office acted as the first responders. The assistance of the KSP was requested and a bomb-sniffing dog was brought in at around 9:30 a.m.
After an hour-long search, nothing was located and KSP officials said the threat was unfounded. No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is continuing.
Store employees were unable to comment on the situation. Recently, several similar threats have been called into area Wal-Marts. stores.
