More than 40 indicted in Knox County

Indictments were returned against more than 40 persons in Knox Circuit Court Friday.
Two were murder charges.
Jesse P. Wagers, 21, of Gray, was charged with the murder of Michael Hensley on or about July 14.
Wagers reportedly collided head-on with a vehicle driven by Hensley on KY 229 about three miles from its intersection with U.S. 25E.
Wagers sustained injuries to his legs in the incident and was wheelchair bound in court Friday.
In three more counts of the indictment, Wagers was charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, driving while intoxicated and driving on a suspended license.
In a second indictment, Wagers was charged with on or about May 19, first -degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while intoxicated, driving on a suspended license, disregarding a stop sign and failure to wear a seat belt.
Daniel Grubb, 23, of Woodbine, was charged in a superseding indictment with the murder of Jeremy Johnson by striking him in the head with a cinder block on or about June 11, 2008. A second count charges that on the same date he tampered with physical evidence. A third count alleges that the next day he also tampered with physical evidence.
Also charged with on or about June 11, 2008, tampering with physical evidence was Bobby Walters, 64, of Barbourville.
In other indictments:
Jeffery Chavies, 33, of Gray, was charged on 21 counts of sexual activities with two minors.
Terry West Jr., 19, of Barbourville, was charged in two counts of second-degree rape of a child younger than 14.
Timothy C. Russ Jr., 20, of Barbourville, was charged with second-degree rape of a child younger than 14.
Timothy A. Cantrell, 34, of Woodbine, second-degree assault, first-degree fleeing or evading police and first-degree persistent felony offense.
Daniel Edwards, 25, of Bimble, possession of meth precursors, two counts of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, second-degree evading police and second degree evading police.
John Autenrieb, 28, of Corbin, criminal possession of a forged prescription.
Jordan Smith, 19, of Barbourville, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second degree escape, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and public intoxication.
Joseph Ore Jr., 27, and Thomas Engle, 21, of Barbourville, and John C. Mills, 29, of Corbin, possession of meth precursors, conspiracy to make meth, possessing drug paraphernalia and third-degree possession of a controlled substance. Engle, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and Mills second-degree persistent felony offender.
Randy Harrison, 20, of Corbin, and Amy Mosley, 32, of East Bernstadt, making meth, and possessing meth precursors. Mosley, first-degree persistent felony offense.
Charles A. Pyle, 35, of Baughman, third-degree assault, first-degree fleeing or evading police, cultivating less than five marijuana plants, volatile substance abuse by intentionally smelling or inhaling paint fumes, fourth-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest and second-degree persistent felony offense.
Doyle R. Davis, 34, of Zephryhills, Fla., and Jimmy A. Davis Jr., 42, of Trosper, second-degree assault and Jimmy Davis, first-degree persistent felony offense.
Colonel J. Golden, 32, of Barbourville, Charles Skaggs, 38, and Coedy Trimble, 20, of Gray, four counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, manufacturing meth, possessing anhydrous ammonia, first-degree possession of a controlled substance and Skaggs, first-degree persistent felony offense.
Robert Taylor, 30, of Flat Lick, first-degree fleeing or evading police, two counts possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, third-degree escape, third criminal mischief and giving police a false name.
Jason Davis, 28, of Hedrick, second-degree terroristic threatening.
Scott Elliott, 20, of Scalf, third degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking worth $500 to $10,000 and first-degree criminal mischief.
Jason D. Bailey, 29, of Barbourville, third-degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking worth more than $500, third criminal mischief and second-degree persistent felony offense.
Billy Hibbard, 19, of Barbourville, and Amy Wagers, 29, of Girdler, theft by unlawful taking worth more than $300, Hibbard third-degree burglary and third criminal mischief.
Garfield Cox, 50, of Cannon, first-degree burglary, second-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief.
Randy Whittymore, 30, of Barbourville, second-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools and second degree persistent felony offense.
Dewayne Swafford, 34, of Barbourville, third offense driving on revoked or suspended license for driving under the influence, two counts of theft of identity, driving under the influence, failure to maintain auto insurance and first-degree persistent felony offense.
Jeff Cox, 39, of Barbourville, five counts of theft by deception worth more than $300, one count of theft by deception worth less than $300 and second degree forgery.
Chadd A. Martin, 23, of Barbourville and Violet Payne, 27, of Flat Lick, theft by unlawful taking between $500 and $10,000 value.
Heather Warren, 24, of Barbourville, ten counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
Phong Kevin Miller, 22, of Pineville, four counts of theft by deception $500 to $10,000 and four counts second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
Angela M. Hibbard, 24, and Omia Roark, 46, of Gray, and Amy G. Wagers, 29, of Barbourville, Hibbard, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, Wagers, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, Roark, two counts second-degree forgery.
Jonathan Blevins, 24, of Williamsburg, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, theft by deception worth less than $500 and second-degree persistent felony offense.
Kenny Lee Wyatt, 33, of Gray, receiving stolen property worth more than $300 and first-degree fleeing or evading police.
Casey Swafford, 25, of Gray, receiving a stolen firearm.
William Fletcher Sparks, 36, of Artemus, first degree bail jumping.
And Christopher Stoots, 29, of Walker, flagrant non support.
