Times-Tribune Staff Report
A 15-year-old London teen died Friday afternoon at University of Kentucky Medical Center, four days after he was thrown from a horse.
WKYT-TV reported that Donavan Bowling of London died Friday afternoon after spending four days in the hospital. His friends told the news station that Bowling was on a colt that had not been ridden often, when a dog came behind him, barked, and spooked the horse. The colt bucked off Bowling, who hit his head when he fell.
The station reported that a fund has been set up in his name to help with funeral expenses at First National Bank and Forcht Bank in London.
