The Knox County Sheriff’s Department arrested a drug trafficker from Michigan during a routine road safety check point on Tuesday, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.
Ronald Dale Hensley, 51, of Ypsilanti, Mich. was allegedly selling oxycodine and other narcotics and delivering the drugs to buyers in and around the Gray community in Knox County, the release stated.
He was stopped on KY 233, where deputies Derek Eubanks and Roy Gambrel searched his vehicle. After further investigation, the deputies seized oxycodine tablets, hydrocodone tablets and cash from Hensley.
According to the release, there had been complaints previously made about Hensley’s activities.
Hensley was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance in the first- and second-degree, according to the release.
Hensley is being held in the Knox County Detention Center and the investigation is ongoing.
