One killed in Laurel wreck

One man was killed and at least two others were hurt in a head-on wreck in East Bernstadt Friday.
WLEX-TV reported that the accident happened just after 2 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Highway 3094 and Highway 3434 in East Bernstadt.
The TV station reported that a passenger, James Pearce, 81, was killed in the wreck, and that the man’s 16-year-old grandson was driving.
Two men in the other car were flown for treatment at University of Kentucky Medical Center.
