Last Tuesday, a Manchester man was arrested by members of the London Police Department for allegedly burglarizing an unoccupied residence.
Police responded to a complaint of a man inside a vacant residence located on US 25 South. Sgt. Joe Smith arrested Anthony R. Gregory, 33, of Manchester. Smith said Gregory’s truck was parked inside the home’s garage and items from the home were in the vehicle. Although the home was vacant, Smith said there were items in it.
“We did find things in his truck that belonged in the house,” Smith said.
Smith said the allegedly burglarized items could not be listed because the case is still under investigation. Following his arrest, Gregory was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center and charged with theft by unlawful taking over $300, second-degree burglary, and first-degree criminal mischief.
Assisting with the investigation and arrest were Lt. Stewart Walker, Officer Travis Hurley, and Det. Jimmy Phelps.
