A man was sentenced to 25 years Friday in Knox County Circuit Court for sexual crimes involving a minor.
Christopher Rice, who pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree rape and incest on Feb. 29., was arrested in April 2007 and indicted in September 2007 on eight counts of rape and incest after he allegedly had sexual intercourse with a 12-year-old girl.
In January 2007, Rice was sentenced to two years in prison after being convicted on separate charges of theft by unlawful taking and first-degree criminal mischief, which was later changed to three years probation.
After his guilty plea in February, Rice received a recommended sentence of 25 years, which was upheld Friday.
