Times-Tribune Staff Report
A 23-year-old Corbin man died at about 8 a.m. Monday when the 1999 Toyota 4-Runner he was driving went over an embankment near Woodland Acres subdivision on Fifth Street Road.
Corbin police officer James Miller, who investigated the incident, said a witness reported that as Roger Reeves was driving east toward town, his car dropped off the right side of the pavement and Reeves apparently over-corrected.
The over-correction sent the vehicle to the left side of the road and over an embankment, throwing Reeves from the Toyota.
Reeves was apparently not wearing a seat belt, said Miller.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by Andy Croley, Whitley County coroner.
Also on the scene were Whitley County EMS and the Corbin Fire Department.
