We hate sin, not the sinner, Corbin, KY

CORBIN — Well, I am very disgusted with our elected leaders and the liberal Supreme Court Justices who voted to allow homosexuality in this once great country we live in. I knew years ago when Bill Clinton started by appointing all these liberal judges and then Obama doing more of the same last year, that this country was in trouble. It plainly states for anyone that may not understand it that God views homosexual actions as an abomination.

Paul writes to the Corinthians in the sixth chapter of the 1st epistle “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind.”

Now as Christians we are to love everyone as Christ loves us. We hate sin, not the sinner.

If you sin don’t think that Christ hates you. Think of it as how you feel if your children were doing wrong — as parents it hurts us, and we hate what the children are doing, but we still love our children.

Can people not see the evil in this world and that unrighteous and homosexuals are part of that evil? Those willfully practicing in these sinful acts of immorality will not go to heaven without them first repenting and turning from their sins. People say that there will be gays in heaven. I just don’t see it!

Paul wrote a good description to the Romans in chapter one about the wrath of God against the unrighteous and ungodly and turning to and accepting worldly things and what becomes of them in the end — spiritual death.

I challenge everyone who takes a moment to read this to offer up a prayer of supplication for this country and pray for the sinners and for those who have repented of their sins. Pray we may always have love and compassion in our hearts for those who sin against God’s word. Pray that God will continue to forgive those who may stumble while trying to walk in his word, while we fight the fight against this sinful nation and the leaders that are obviously ignorant of the Gospel. Stand united and turn our nation back to the beliefs it was founded upon.
