Readers give thanks for Knox Co. Sheriff’s Dept.

The Times-Tribune

CORBIN — On Feb. 2, Knox County Sheriff’s deputies Derrick Eubanks and Claude Hudson responded to a theft report in the Girdler community. Both deputies displayed personal courage and professionalism reflecting great credit upon Sheriff John Pickard’s department.

Deputy Eubanks’ selfless service during the investigation was outstanding. He pursued this case long after his shift and his persistence and motivation should not go unnoticed.

Along with Deputy Hudson’s instinct and attention to detail, New Bethel Baptist Church’s prayers, the help of KSP troopers Chad Gregory, Sam Farris, and Wayne Hensley, we got to see results that made a difference.

On behalf of the Harris, Collett families and the CHAMP ATV Society, we would like to thank you for your hard work and dedication to serving the Girdler community.

Officers and other first responders are often underpaid and underappreciated for the risks and stress of their jobs. We thank God and give him all the praise for blessing us with a recovery, but through your deputies and leadership we take great pride in knowing someone is there to answer the call.

Chad and Kristie Harris,

Knox County
