The Corbin Arena has the potential to be a very successful venue; although, I don’t think it’s getting as much attention as it should.
Many people complain that they aren’t informed about upcoming events. I don’t think the events are being properly advertised and, as a result, we’re not drawing as big of a crowd as we could.
Advertising is a vital part of business — especially when you have a business that has the Corbin Arena’s potential for success. Currently, the arena mostly uses its website, its digital sign and Facebook to promote its events — I don’t think these tools are reaching many people. Perhaps the arena’s management could invite people to share their email addresses or cell phone numbers so they can be alerted about upcoming events.
Also, events offered at the arena are limited. More varied events that appeal to entertainment seekers of all ages would boost the arena’s profits, as would concerts of different genres.
An annual survey by the arena would allow management to determine what entertainment people would like to see.
As I said, the arena has great potential for success — we just need to take a different approach to achieve that success.
